Productive, Responsible, Independent, and Dedicated to Excellence.

P.R.I.D.E.

Mr. Marco Pelliccia, or Mr. P as his students refer to him, has been the Principal of Stafford High School for over ten years. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science from West Chester University, a Master’s Degree from Immaculata University, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (6th Year) in Educational Leadership from the University of Connecticut.

He enjoys attending Stafford High School events and was recently voted by staff and students as the adult with the most school spirit. As he enters his 11th year as Principal and 19th year in District, he continues to believe that the students of Stafford are some of the finest young people in Connecticut, as evidenced by his frequent public proclamations that, “Stafford students never get enough credit for what they do.”

Portrait of Stafford High School's assistant principal Sue Mike.

Welcome students and families to Stafford High School. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our educational community. I am honored to be the assistant principal of this warm, welcoming and safe school. We take pride in creating a positive culture and climate with emphasis on high academic and behavioral expectations. The high school years are full of excitement and transitions that value each student and support them as they explore and embark on new adventures in the learning world. I am truly thankful to be a part of this vibrant community of learners.

My background includes teaching social studies at the middle and high school levels. I am a wife, a proud mother of three, and have experience as an assistant principal at SHS and as the principal at SMS. I currently serve as an administrator on the English Language Arts curriculum team, the Wellness Committee, the Policy Committee, the Curriculum Advisory Council, and am a member of the Core Reading Taskforce.

As the assistant principal, I believe that it is my responsibility to build and maintain a collaborative learning community where each voice is valued and heard. I strive to prepare students academically, socially and emotionally for a competitive global society regardless of disability, race, gender, or social-economic status. Here at SHS, we support a curriculum that provides rigorous, authentic learning experiences for each student. Together as a community we can lead students into a bright future of life-long learning.
