I have always known that I wanted to be in a profession where helping people was the main goal. It was during my high school years when I realized that school counseling was exactly what I wanted to do with my life. I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from UConn where I was also a member of the track and field team. I was lucky enough to receive my Master's degree in Educational Psychology with a concentration in School Counseling from the same university. Mr. Phil Gascon

I was working as an In-School Suspension Supervisor in another district when I realized that I wanted to work and assist students in a different way. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Communication from Stonehill College, and then my Master's degree in School Counseling from Saint Joseph's College (now known as University of Saint Joseph). I've had the pleasure of working at SHS since 2012.

Mrs. Sarah DePercio

After having influential school counselors growing up, I always knew counseling was a career path that I wanted to pursue. I graduated from the University of Connecticut as a double major in Psychology and Human Development and Family Sciences. I loved being a UConn husky so much that I continued on with my education there, obtaining my Master’s degree in Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology with a concentration in school counseling.
