Productive, Responsible, Independent, and Dedicated to Excellence.

P.R.I.D.E.

Mr. Marco Pelliccia, or Mr. P as his students refer to him, has been the Principal of Stafford High School for over ten years. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science from West Chester University, a Master’s Degree from Immaculata University, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (6th Year) in Educational Leadership from the University of Connecticut.

He enjoys attending Stafford High School events and was recently voted by staff and students as the adult with the most school spirit. As he enters his 12th year as Principal and 20th year in District, he continues to believe that the students of Stafford are some of the finest young people in Connecticut, as evidenced by his frequent public proclamations that, “Stafford students never get enough credit for what they do.”

Portrait of Stafford High School's assistant principal Ben Scurto.

Mr. Benjamin Scurto became assistant principal in the fall of 2023. His educational background includes a bachelor’s degree from Marist College (Poughkeepsie, NY), a master’s degree from Sacred Heart University (Fairfield, CT), and an administrative degree from the University of Connecticut (Storrs, CT). In addition to that, Mr. Scurto had a long and distinguished career as a history teacher at Stafford High School (2001-23). He was actively involved in the school beyond the classroom, including running events such as the Faculty vs. Students Volleyball Challenge, Activity Period, coordinating the bi-annual Washington, D.C. field trip, and providing site supervision for a multitude of sporting events.

Happily married for over 20 years and the father of three children, Mr. Scurto feels like the students of Stafford are an extension of his family. He always has the best interest of the students in mind. He takes great pride in seeing students grow and mature in their four years at Stafford High and watching them take on the world when they graduate. GO BULLDOGS!
